Steve and I are celebrating our 22 year of marriage this October. His son is off to Japan in about a month, his current plan being to live there and teach English for a year. Jill is a Senior, looking at colleges, and Alex (my 11 year old daughter) is going into 6th grade and is looking forward to ruling the school (her words, not mine). My parents are in Monterey. They moved there about 18 years ago, (maybe 20) from St. Helena. My Dad was Superintendent of Schools there, and then for Carmel Unified. He retired about 7 years ago, but keeps on taking on interim positions. He likes to keep busy. My Mom keeps up with him, volunteering at church and at one of the Adobes in Monterey. Between the three of us kids there are 8 grandchildren, and they all have a lot of fun with each other. Greg is in Santa Maria. He manages about 1400 acres of grapes for Meridian Wineries. It is a beautiful spot, right along the 101 on both sides of the freeway, just south of Santa Maria. He and his wife have four kids 17, 14, 12, and 11. It is a very busy house! My sister, Janice (divorced), is also in Monterey. She has a daughter starting Junior High this year. I had so much fun seeing everyone at our 30 year reunion!
I was pleased to see that we hadn't really changed all that much ~ and glad that we were all wearing nametags! COMMENTS: From stevefilice - 2004-09-17 10:46 PM
